A great Ham Radio Club

I have had a ham radio license for a few years now. I have never really used it much, for many reasons. Mostly because I have had little help in trying to figure out why my 2 meter radio can’t hit a repeater that is just a little ways accross the county. And seeing as how, right now, my 2 meter radio is the only radio I own, not getting it to work has put a damper on all things ham radio. I should say that is until I went to the PORTCARS. This radio club is one of the best I have been to. Many groups seem to treat new people as outcasts until they membership fees. Not so with PORTCARS, in fact the very first meeting I went to they asked me if I would like to participate in their antenna building activity, schedueled later that month. The members, ranging from young to old, are really willing to help anyone. If you live in and around Portage County Ohio, stop by for their meeting at Mike’s Place in Kent, Ohio on the second Monday at 7 p.m. Hope to see you there!
