My review of Wii Fit and Star Wars the Force Unleashed
This past weekend my wife twisted my arm and I purchased Wii Fit, then I just had to get Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Wii Fit is fun, but for me is very tricky. The Balance Board is very well constructed but is a little small for myself. I have big feet, size 11 4E. In other words the are big and almost square. When I step on the pad my feet take up a lot of room and I almost feel like my feet are going to go over the edges. It also takes a lot of time to understand how to shift you wight around the board. Controlling games with your balance is very different than button pushing or wiimote movement. The games are short but fun and the offer a bit of a challage too. I hope Nintendo brings out other games that use the pad or I will have just spend a fair amount of money for a dead end product. I give Wii Fit an 8 out of 10.
The Force Unleashed is a fun game, I would say an 8 out of 10. The story isn’t bad but there are a number of small items that really detract for the game. The controls are easy to pickup, swing the remote and your saber moves, use the nunchuk to control the force powers and movement. My main problem is that the camera is a pain to control in the middle of the battle and if you are running around the side of a hall of arena the camera will move to the strangest of angles. The game is short, I finished it in about 8 hours. There were a few visual glitches where shadows or textures were not rendered correctly. The targeting system is a little frustrating at times getting it to pickup the correct object or enemy. There is a duel mode that is fun to play
